Dr. Vivian Aranda-Michel is a licensed Clinical Psychologist in the State of Oregon and Washington. She earned her APA accredited doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology from Xavier University, Ohio, and subsequently completed her APA accredited Pre-Doctoral Internship in Professional Psychology at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, Ohio, and completed postdoctoral training at Keystone Behavioral Pediatrics, Florida.
Dr. Aranda-Michel, has expertise in pediatric and child psychology and works with children and adolescents who are diagnosed with a wide range of chronic medical conditions, such as diabetes, gastrointestinal/motility disorders, constipation, soiling and pain related conditions. Additionally, Dr. Aranda-Michel provides services to children and adolescents who are experiencing neurodevelopmental disorders, such as Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Specific Learning Disorders, Habit Disorders, Selective Mutism, Developmental Delays and Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), as well as treating the young population who are experiencing behavioral difficulties, such as Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD), mood disorders and adjustment related difficulties. Dr. Aranda-Michel also performs psycho-educational and neurocognitive evaluations/assessments for diagnostic purposes, and provides recommendations to assist with meeting the needs of the child/adolescent. Dr. Aranda-Michel has worked in a variety of facilities including tertiary level care medical centers, outpatient clinics, and private practice settings.
Using evidenced based treatments, including, but not limited to cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), and behavioral based interventions, Dr. Aranda-Michel provides mental health and behavioral health services to the child, adolescent, caregiver, and family, as well as consultation and support for Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for children with specific learning and behavioral needs.
