Pediatrician
Laura Montez, PAC is originally from sunny Arizona and received her undergraduate degree from University of Arizona. A former Peace Corps Volunteer in the Central Pacific, Laura Montez graduated from Pacific University’s Physician AssistantProgram in 2003, and has been practicing mostly Pediatric medicine since, with some Urgent Care and Family Practice experience too.
She loves working with children of all ages, and specializes in procedures such as suturing, incision and drainage of abscesses, and ingrown toenail removal. She enjoys discussing birth control with teenagers, managing asthma, and just simply watching her patients grow and become young adults, while getting to know the whole family unit.
She speaks Spanish, Gilbertese (Micronesian dialect), and American Sign Language
When not working, she enjoys road cycling, kayaking/paddle boarding, and any other outside sporting activities that keep her moving. Her 3 big dogs, 14 chickens and two teenage children keep her plenty busy as well.
